The purpose of the foundation

The purpose of “Lis Hartel” is to give any disabled person, who has a handicap which will make riding at other schools impossible, a chance to experience the joy, happiness, nature, and sport by riding one of our horses under careful guidance and supervision of our personnel and
volunteers.

We have special equipments which can assist a disabled person to mount and dismount a horse, nice and comfortable riding facilities close to a forest. In addition to riding, we can also give lessons in vaulting, driving and are organizing regularly outdoor riding and camps for our students.

The work between a disabled rider and the horse gives the student a lot of confidence, self-esteemed, and positive thinking as proven by the legendary rider Lis Hartel – herself – who tirelessly promoted the therapeutic riding for disabled throughout her life. We are both proud
and happy to be able to continue her work and give our own students the chance to experience the thrill of riding and leading a horse.
